* Welcome on board to Pamilla Jai Jairam a former teacher at the school. Pamilla is willing to be a member of the LCSS Committee in Guyana to lend her support.
* Formation of the LCSS Committee in Guyana : Phool had communicated to Eno that it is not possible to have a separate committee by itself, it has to be a part of the PTA. Pamilla will check with the Ministry Of Ed on this but if this is the case then there should be no problem with Phool and Pamilla joining the PTA. Phool will also check with Mr Raghunandan to see if he can also join up. Riaz will contact Auntie Chato.
* Students Sports Uniform : Phool is waiting for her source (currently in NY) to return to Guyana. Pamilla will follow up with Phool.
* Heavy duty copy machine : this is a huge, immediate need at the school. Cost is approx $5000 US for a new one. Gord from Canada had indicated in the past that he was interested in providing one; Howie will follow up with him. Pamilla will also look into one in Guyana that will also include service.
* Meeting with Rishi Singh : he will be in NY from 6/27 – 6/30 for the Chandi Reunion. He will be on a tight schedule but is more than willing to meet with us. Kris will be coordinating this meeting with Rishi but we need to be very flexible with his available time. Note : Rishi’s group doesn’t focus on Chandi only but schools all across the country. Funds from their events are used for this so we should show our support by attending their event on June 29th at Leonards. It will be a good thing for us to see how their reunions are conducted.
* Next Conf Call : this coming Friday (5/24) at 9pm. Ameer to set up (including hooking up with Phool & Pamilla in Guyana).
