Minutes of 8/4/10 NY Executive Committee meeting
Venue: Hibiscus Restaurant Time: 8-10pm
Attending: Kris Lachman, Riaz Bacchus, Radha and Howard Bernstein, Shirley Brijlal and guest Marcie Mcwilliams
Items discussed:
1) Dinner dance:
a) Inventory of entrance and raffle tickets taken
b) DJ: Decision made to use the house DJ and payments sent
c) Food, liquour and supplies will be handled in the same manner as last year
d) Flyer announcing the event: The committee spent time to make improvements to a draft from the printer that will be used for this weekends Albion reunion and for upcoming advertisement in stores and handouts etc.
2) Albion Reunion: Kris will be stationed at the reunion with a table in the hope of reaching LCSS alumni that could be there for encouraging more attendance at the dance, and for potential raffle ticket sales. We discussed the particulars.
3) Headmaster situation: Both Ms. Nirmala and Mr. Ali are leaving the school for positions elsewhere. This is unfortunate news and we spent time discussing what our approach should be with the new headmaster and how to maintain continuity of our future goals considering this type of administrative turnover.
