Items discussed:
- Fund raiser: We reviewed the status of the ticket sales, payments to the hall, DJ selection and food lists.
- We were able to speak very clearly on the conference call with Phul and we reviewed the following:
- The internet line is up and working in the school and they now have email capabilities. We authorized Phul to pay for the DSL charge for the months of September and October. The monthly charge is US$45.00
- The local Ministry of Education has done some repairs and electrical upgrades on the school. Until we clarify what has been done, we have put on hold our plan to fund the necessary upgrades for the fan installation project.
- The proposed finance committee at the school will be comprised of Phul, Mr. Ragunandan, HM and PTA members
3) We received our first email from the Headmaster sincerely thanking us for funding the internet line. We will now communicate with him directly regarding our letter to the Ministry about building a new school and other important items. This is a great step forward and we are all very pleased about it.
