Minutes of 8/12/09 NY Executive Committee meeting
Venue: Hibiscus Restaurant, Richmond Hill Queens
Time: 8-10PM
Attending: Kris Lachman, Riaz Bacchus, Shirley Brijlal, Eno Chabinauth, Radha and Howard Bernstein, Ganee and Zali Abdool
It was Ganee’s birthday and Radha’s coming up on 8/28 so we made a toast
Topic discussed: Review of Fund Raiser and future plans
- Fund Raiser: We discussed what went well and how to make improvements for the next event
- Suggestions on how to use the funds raised: Computers for the school were discussed but it was then felt better to ask the Headmaster for his current needs and ‘wish list’. Riaz will call the school
- Management of the LCGSS bank account reviewed
- The need for expanding our database and reaching out to more alumni was discussed
- Website review: The status of the website and future content plans were reviewed
- Next event: Picnic in a park along with cricket jointly with the Comprehensive School alumni was suggested and agreed upon. Further details will be explored by Kris.
Next meeting will be early Sept. due to vacation period
