Minutes of 5/23/14 NY Executive Committee meeting
Venue: Carib Cabana, Jamaica
Time: 800-1030pm
Attending: Kris Lachman, Howard Bernstein, Riaz Bacchus, Eno Chabinauth, Radha Bernstein, Ameer Gulmohamed
Items discussed:
- Floor in faculty room: The projected we funded was completed and we have photos now to post on the website of the before and after. The room looks very nice.
- The school construction is nearly completed and we also have some photos to put up.
- Uniforms: We have to pay by wire transfer as the US checks we sent are too cumbersome. We will be in touch directly with Denmore the clothing factory to complete this transaction
- Graduation ceremony that we funded was a great success and we have photos and reports to post on the website.
- Needs of LCSS: Pamela has informed us that the Science Lab will be operating again, the Library will be moved and the Home Economics Room all need many supplies. These are all areas we are interested to support and fund and we will be discussing this soon.
- Website: We need to take over administration of the site as Kris Corinaldesi no longer has much time to assist us with it.
Next Fundraiser: We would like to change the venue type so Howard will investigate the cost of a boat ride
