Minutes of 10/2/10 NY Executive Committee meeting
Venue: Caribbean Cabana Restaurant
Time: 9-11pm
Attending: Kris Lachman, Riaz Bacchus, Radha and Howard Bernstein, Rakesh Ragubir, Shirley Brijlal, Ganee and Zoli Abdool
Items discussed:
1. Dinner dance:
a. Final inventory of all revenues and expenses were tallied. Event income figure will be between $10,000-11,500.00. This will be finalized and announced shortly
b. Overall summary of the event was discussed in detail to enable an even more productive outcome for future fund raisers
c. Thank you letters for donations will be sent out
d. Website will post a letter from the Executive committee and Raffle Ticket results
2. New school headmaster is Mr. Felton Frasier. Riaz has spoken to him and a follow up letter will be sent from the Executive Committee shortly
3. New candidates for the Executive Committee were discussed as we are interested to bring in new people
4. How to disburse funds from the dinner dance: We talked about:
a. New computer lab
b. Consolidating funds and then approaching charities for matching grants to enable us to build a new school
These points will be further developed over the next meetings
