Sept. 24 2011 Dinner Dance Fund Raiser On behalf of the Executive Committee we would like to sincerely thank all the alumni and friends that came to the event at the Farifield Pavillion. We sold 201 entry tickets and the evening was a total success in which we raised $9009.00 for LCSS. This year’s party was a bit different than others. In fact many who attended said it was the best so far. In thinking it over we feel that there were perhaps a few things that made the event so enjoyable. The venue was cozy and warm and easy for those there to mingle and socialize. The food was excellent, easily reached and the bar was well attended. There were about 70 fewer people this year but that made it more of a family type atmosphere rather than a sprawling one. Even so the dance floor was never empty as the DJ get things moving with great music. The surprise appearance of singer Terry Gajraj class ’77 was fantastic and really put a wonderful finishing touch on the evening. All in all the fact that as a group we can raise such a significant amount of funds for our cause and at the same time generate a very memorable evening is indeed cause for celebration.
